BDA Awards 2011

Time is running out for submissions to the 2011 BDA Awards. The Brick Development Associations annual awards highlight outstanding architectural projects and the use of brick within the buildings. Last year saw an even spread amongst the manufacturers, with Ibstock’s Himley Ebony Black taking the prize for Supreme Winner.

Nord Architecture designed the outstanding Olympic Substation and used the brick in a less than conventional method. Winchmore Brickwork took the dreams of the architects, turned them into reality and became deserved winners.

Eastbourne College

Miller Bourne architects Hove were instructed to build a new sports hall, pavilion, dining room and classroom block at Eastbourne College. Built to celebrate them being open for 150 years and known as Project 150 the project is a testament to modern design and construction using traditional materials.
