St Peters Church Old Woking

We are always delighted to be involved in interesting projects where a very specific product is required. With a network of factories all over the UK and Europe, we are able to find solutions to most brick matches. This was certainly the case with St Peters Church in Old Woking.

A boundary wall and listed dovecote were in dire need of repair. BBF Fielding architects asked us to provide a suggestion for bricks to replace those which were damaged and could not be salvaged. Working closely with a local factory, we were able to produce a blend of handmade bricks in two different sizes and colours to ensure that the new wall was sympathetic to the other, existing walls.

Reds Builders from Portsmouth carried out the work and have received only positive comments from the local society, architect and client. The wall was deconstructed and as many existing bricks as possible were salvaged and blended back into the wall. The copings were also made as per the existing and in two different thicknesses to emulate the style of the existing wall and dovecote.
