How do you do something different with a standard brick?

The recent financial situation has seen the tightening of purse strings in all areas of construction, none more so than with the removal of architectural detailing.

Many architects are adopting interesting and unusual ways to achieve a unique look for their project, one method being to cut the bricks in half. Wire cut bricks have extrusion holes, which are required in the manufacturing process. These holes become exposed when the brick is cut in half and provide an attractive feature to the elevation, creating a tactile aesthetic which harmonises with the colour tone of the main facade.

Please remember to allow plenty of time for manufactured specials as the process can take between six and twelve weeks.
